About us

Why Join Our Independent Union?

Founded in November 2025, Workers Voice Union is an independent, member-led trade union supporting workers across the United Kingdom. Membership is open to all workers, regardless of sector or job role, in line with our Rule Book.

The Union was established to promote and protect the employment interests, rights, and welfare of its members. Our focus is on supporting workers through collective organisation, seeking recognition from employers, and representing members through elected representatives once recognition is secured.

We aim to address the challenges facing today’s workplaces, including insecure work, fairness at work, equality of treatment, and the increasing use of technology and data-driven decision-making.

Workers Voice Union was also founded to be affordable and accessible, so that cost is not a barrier to participation. This approach is intended to encourage membership, engagement, and active involvement, strengthening the collective voice of workers.

Our aim is clear: to build a democratic, lawful, and transparent trade union that secures meaningful recognition and effective representation for its members at workplace, regional, and national levels.

What we offer

A Collective Voice for Workers

Workers Voice Union brings workers together across sectors and occupations to build a collective, democratic voice. Through membership, engagement, and participation, members are able to raise concerns, share experiences, and contribute to the Union’s priorities and direction.

Recognition and Representation

The Union seeks recognition from employers in order to represent members collectively. Once recognition is secured, members are represented through elected workplace representatives in individual and collective employment matters, including consultation, negotiation, and collective bargaining, in line with the Union’s Rules.

Member Participation and Democracy

Members have equal rights within the Union and play an active role in its democratic structures. Through ballots, meetings, and elected representation, members help shape policy, priorities, and the future development of the Union in accordance with the Rule Book.

Official trade union

Workers Voice Union is an officially registered trade union and is included on the statutory list of trade unions maintained by the UK Government. The official list of recognised trade unions can be viewed on the government website, where Workers Voice Union is recorded.

Recognition and Accessible Membership

Securing Recognition Locally and Nationally

We seek recognition from employers at both local and national levels, from small workplaces to larger organisations. Recognition enables the Union to represent members collectively through elected representatives, in accordance with the Union’s Rules.

Affordable and Accessible Membership

The Union is committed to keeping membership affordable and accessible, so cost is not a barrier to participation. Subscription levels are set in accordance with the Rule Book and are intended to support the Union’s work while encouraging membership and active engagement.
